Paper filters are a challenge because if you clean to aggressively the filter is damaged. I sent this picture to a buddy that works for the largest new filter manufacturer in the world. He thought the filter on the right was new. It took me a while to convince him that it was in fact cleaned. The picture above is in fact a picture of two cleaned filters. The one on the left was our previous results; on the right is the filter after the most recent invention. The "Super Duper Paper Filter Brightening Finisher" started life as a $0.50 garage sale item purchased last week end. Now it may be a really cool way to add the last brightening step to our paper cleaning process.
