carbon impregnated filters

I don't want to raise a bunch of problems, but Carbon Impregnated filters and not really approved for use in food manufacturing.  There is a big push with all the food scares to bring manufacturing more into complacence.   Surprising what some people are using in their operation.  Can you imagine pieces of Teflon and carbon in your food.  It is hard to imagine, but it is used widely in industry.   Many filters have coatings to aid in dust release or filtration.  I sit here and wonder what else we are eating.
